Re-designed specifically for ENG and film recordists, the first HD 25 was actually used as in-flight headphones on Concorde, giving an improved listening experience in a very noisy environment. It is not difficult to see why they were soon coveted as the ultimate alternative monitoring headphone for recordists and DJs alike due to their light weight. Identical in design to the HD 25, however this includes a 1.5m coiled steel cable (3m length extended) fitted with a straight 3.5mm 3-pole jack plus adapter to 6.35mm A-gauge 3-pole jack plug and an additional steel cored, straight 1.5m cable fitted with a right-angled 3.5mm 3-pole jack plug, a handy storage pouch and a second set of earpads in a velour finish.
Similar to the HD 25, including the same frequency response at 16 to 22,000Hz, and 120db maximum SPL. The main difference is HD 25 Light has a dual-sided, 1.5m long steel cable and a simple, single part headband, 70 ohms. HD 25 Light doesn't have the same rotatable ear cup as the HD 25. Closed back circumaural headphones for professional monitoring applications. The high attenuation of external noise (32dB) makes these particularly suitable for use in high noise environments. Folding and rotating ear cups have been integrated on this updated version for easier transportation. Single-sided coiled cable with 3.5mm 3-pole jack, plus screw-on adapter to 6.35mm jack. Frequency response 8 to 25000Hz. SPL 113dB. Weight 285g. Nominal impedance 64 ohms.
HD 300 PRO are dynamic, closed back circumaural headphones for professional monitoring applications. Single-sided replaceable 1.55m straight cable with 3.5mm 3-pole jack. Frequency response: 6 - 25000Hz. SPL: 123dB, 1kHz. Weight: 297g. Impedance: 64 ohms. Power rating: 500mW.
These headphones have the same audio properties and physical design of HD 300 PRO, however Sennheiser have added switchable ActiveGard limiting protection at 110dB SPL. An on/off switch located beneath a side panel on the cable-entry side earphone. Weight: 297g, without cable.
Sennheiser HD 400 Pro are dynamic, open-back circumaural headphones designed for studio reference application. The earpads are manufactured with velour finish, and a single side access, removable 3m coiled cable can be replaced with the included 1.8m straight cable. Both have 3.5mm 3-pole jack connector with 6.35mm jack adaptor. Frequency response: 6 - 38000Hz. SPL: 110dB, 1kHz. Weight: 240g, without cable. Impedance: 120 ohms.
