The Neutrik True Outdoor Protection (TOP) series was designed for the increasing demands on interconnection systems. In particular, in harsh environment applications, where entertainment equipment such as PA systems, signs, LED screens or lighting, require an environmentally sealed connector. These UV resistant, ruggedized, sealed connectors are UL50E rated and protected to IP65 in mated or unmated condition in combination with a sealing cover.
The Powercon True1 TOP is a locking 16 Amp mains connector for outdoor applications. It replaces appliance couplers wherever a very rugged solution in combination with a locking device is needed in order to guarantee a safe power connection. The connector also has breaking capacity (CBC), enabling it to be connected or disconnected under load.
The cable connectors have screw-terminal connections, large latch-release button and the proven Neutrik cable gland retention. They accept cables 6mm - 12mm diameter, with wire sizes 1.0 - 2.5 mm.sq.
The NAC3MPX-TOP power inlet has the standard Neutrik 'D' series housing dimensions; the NAC3FPX-TOP power outlet uses a larger housing. The inlet is supplied with 6.3mm spade terminals, the outlet is available with 6.3mm spade terminals or screw terminals. The -WOT variants are without the terminal barrier, for use with larger insulated spade terminal receptacles.
The NAC3PX-TOP is a dual, panel connector, with inlet and outlet in the same unit.
Moulded covers offering protection to IP65 are offered for all panel connectors, these mount under the flange and have an attached cover.
This range of panel inlet and outlet connectors are certified to IEC 60320-1 and therefore conform to IEC 62368-1.
Note: Neutrik Powercon connectors are certified to the IEC 62368-1 standard which is defined as "appliance couplers for household and similar general purpose". If these connectors are required for use in a building installation, the installer must ensure that the necessary protective measures and applicable standards are complied with. This series of connectors can be used in an application such as a building installation, but Neutrik cannot offer certification or declaration of conformity for this use.
