SCHULZE-BRAKEL MIC FLAGS - Foam

Schulze-Brakel is a company that specializes in producing windscreens for microphones. Their SchulzFoam is made exclusively by the 'finest German manufacturers' and offers flexibility for a better fit, and colour stability for longevity. Schulze-Brakel Foam Flags allow advertisement when the user is holding their microphone, along with offering a more ergonomic alternative to the industry standard plastic mic flags.

The foam flags are split into three product series with their shape being the discerning factor. FF-7001/C variants are round mic flags, FF-8001/C variants are square mic flags, and FF-9001/C variants are triangular mic flags. The standard depth of the mic flag is 35mm. The Shure SM7B specific flag measures 100 x 76.2mm (width x height), has slightly rounded corners, and has been designed specifically to fit over the base of the SM7B microphone. FF-7001/C flags can accommodate up to two logos depending on artwork size, FF-8001/C variants can accommodate four logos, and FF-9001/C variants can accommodate three logos. SM7B flag can accommodate five logos.

All versions are manufactured in SchulzFoam with a flocked finish - a soft, almost furry surface. The flocked surface is an in-house process that provides a brighter look and longer-lasting colour on the outside foam layer. After machining the SchulzFoam to the right shape, this secondary process puts a fine layer of super-fine fibres on the pre-treated foam flag.
