500072 is a plug-and-play kit that allows the extension of a single host USB 2.1 or 1.1 input up to 100m, and outputs four USB data signals. USB devices including Control, Interrupt, Bulk, and Isochronous are supported at rates up to 480Mbps.
The host or source side hard has a single USB type-B input along with a single RJ45 connection for the extension Cat5e/6 cable, whilst the receiving or device side hardware has a single RJ45 connection and 4x USB type-A connectors. Both units have LEDs to signify power, link, and activity. The host device requires 5VDC, 1A power; and the receiving device requires 5VDC, 2A.
