Founded in 2015, URSA Straps have designed radio microphone consumables that are popular in live music, theatre, film, wedding, and conferencing. The range of consumables has extended from straps and pouches to microphone mounts and adhesion product ranges.
URSA Sticky ZEROs are round adhesive tapes with a diameter of 24mm and pre-cut 14mm diameter hole. They have been designed for compatibility with various microphone mounts including DPA Concealers and URSA MiniMounts. A small peel-off tab enables 'easy and fast' application. These transparent adhesive circles have a low profile of 0.4mm and are hypoallergenic and safe to use directly on the skin or fabrics. URSA suggest the tapes 'won’t leave any residue and can be peeled off without tearing'.
Sticky Circles are pre-cut 24mm diameter, hypoallergenic adhesive tape circles that have been designed for reliable microphone placement. A low profile of 0.4mm, and transparent finish enables them to be hidden on the skin or on fabrics. URSA suggest the tapes 'won’t leave any residue and can be peeled off without tearing'. The mounts are compatible with a variety of microphone mounts including RM11s and DPA Concealers, and can also be used with URSA Plush Circles, Fur Circles, and Soft Circles.
Like Sticky Circles, URSA Premium Stickies are hypoallergenic adhesive mounts with a precut 24mm circle. Available in packs of 60 pieces, these premium mounts are 0.5mm thick and feature a foam pad to create a soft barrier between lavalier microphone and fabric - helping to reduce unwanted rustle and noise. Compatible with URSA Cirlces, LAV Mounts, and MiniMounts.
As per Sticky Circles however these adhesions pads have a diameter of 15mm and are supplied in packs of 90.
Very Stickies have been designed for extreme mounting requirement. Like Sticky Circles, these stickies have a pre-cut 24mm diameter and peel-off tabs. The adhesive mounts are normally used with the URSA WireRig due to their stability. URSA suggest Very Stickies are so strong they can damage delicate fabric and leave residue. They are also not rated as hypoallergenic.
URSA Tape is manufactured from the adhesive same solution as Sticky Circles, however they have been pre-cut into strips measuring 78 x 22mm. The split backing, similar to a plaster, enables easy application. The strips are hypoallergenic and safe to use against most skin types. They do not leave residue on costumes and delicate fabrics.
URSA MiniMount Stickies are available in packs 90 pieces. They have been designed for harmonious use with URSA MiniMounts for lavalier microphones. The hypoallergenic tape strips are safe to use against skin and leave no residue on costumes or delicate fabrics.
Premium MiniMount Stickies measure 22 x 11mm and features a padded foam layer to further reduce rustling and unwanted noise. Compatible with URSA MiniMounts these adhesive strips have a thickness of 0.5mm and are delivered in a pack of 60 pieces.
Available in black, white, or caramel finish, Foamie Pads have been designed to reduce unwanted clothing noise and keep lavalier microphones secure. Each pack includes fifteen foam pads with medical-grade sticky tape for safe mounting directly onto clothing, costume fabric, or accessories. The 30 x 20mm pads create a soft, padded layer around the microphone, helping to prevent clothing rustle and vibration from zips, buttons, or hats. To adhere, the user peels off the backing layer, places the lavalier microphone on one side of the pad, folds over the pad, and sticks to the desired surface.
URSA Tape is available in small strips, large strips, or roll format, and is manufactured by applying moleskin to hypoallergenic stick tape therefore it can be stuck directly to the skin. It has been designed to mount microphones whilst reduce clothing rustle and increase camouflage. The tape cannot be torn and requires scissors to cut to size. 1cm squares have been printed to the backing paper to aid sizing.
