SHURE MVX2U GEN 2 AUDIO INTERFACE Preamplifier, 3-pin XLR to USB-C, internal DSP

Shure MVX2U Gen 2 is a compact and mobile-friendly, single-channel XLR-to-USB interface designed for recording or streaming on desktop or mobile devices using any XLR microphone. Onboard digital audio processing, powered via USB-C, ensures consistent sound across devices and in imperfect acoustic environments. Compatible with condenser and dynamic microphones, the interface provides up to 60dB of gain. Alternatively, MVX2U Gen 2 can be used inline with a microphone cable. The interface has a single USB-C output along with 3.5mm headphone jack connection for ‘zero-latency’ monitoring.

In comparison to the earlier MVX2U version, MVX2U Gen 2 has the addition of mobile and tablet compatibility, with MFi certification, and is supported by MOTIV Mix, MOTIV audio app and MOTIV video app. It also includes the latest MOTIV digital audio processing features (auto level mode, real time denoiser and plosive control). The signal-to-noise ratio has been improved by 3dB for a lower noise floor, which is typically only noticeable when the gain is set to maximum for a less sensitive mic. There have also been improvements to the output digital-to-analogue converter and headphone amplifier.

An auto level mode allows the user to set the distance from the microphone and automatically adjust the gain level to aid a more consistent output. Dark, neutral, and bright sound signature vocal tone presets can be selected, or manual mode allows the user more defined control. A tricolour LED gives indication of ready mode (green), error sensed (amber), and muted (red).
