MuxLab video scalers are designed for use in both commercial and residential AV systems, classroom projection systems, digital signage, and medical information systems. The main use of these units is to upscale or downscale video formats for compatibility with destination hardware.
MuxLab 500438-V2 is a video scaler that allows a single HDMI source to be distributed to a single HDMI display, such as computer monitor. Upscaling video to 3840 x 2160 at 60Hz, and downscaling video to 1024 x 768 at 60Hz, this hardware supports 8, 10, and 12-bit colour along with being HDCP 2.2 compliant.
Audio pass-through up to Dolby Atmos and DTS:X are supported, along with extraction of digital optical audio, via TOSlink, and 2-channel analogue audio via 3.5mm jack socket. Along with the TOSlink and 3.5mm connector, 500438 has 2x HDMI Type-A female connectors, 1x RS232 3-pin Phoenix style connector, 1x mini-USB for firmware updates, and 1x 2.1mm locking power connector for the included 12VDC, 1A power supply.
