BUBBLEBEE WINDSHIELDS - For microphone

BBI-BWB-BK Long-haired

Designed to fit a wide range of handheld microphones, the Big Windbubble slides over the microphone capsule and is retained by way of elastic mount at the bottom of the windshield. A black imitation fur covers a smooth mesh lining designed for easy installation; whilst allowing a frequency response with ‘very small influence’ to the microphone capsule, even in heavy wind conditions.

Dimensions: 100 x 52mm (height x diameter). Weight: 100g, including packaging.

BBI-BWB-BKS Short-haired

This has the same construction as the BBI-BWB-BK Big Windbubble however the imitation fur is shorter and therefore has been designed for use in ‘normal’ wind conditions.

Dimensions: 100 x 52mm (height x diameter). Weight: 100g, including packaging.

Compatible microphones include Beyerdynamic M58/M59/MCE 58, DPA D:FACTO 4018V, Rode Reporter, Sennheiser MD 42/MD 46/e835/e845/e845S/e865/e865S/e935/e945/e965, Sony F112, and Wisycom MTH400.

WINDKILLER

This range of windshields have been specifically designed to fit a range of boom or camera mounted shotgun microphones in a variety of conditions. Both the long-haired, for medium to heavy wind conditions, and the short-haired versions, for mild to medium wind conditions feature a coarse foam inner with a fitted imitation fur outer which can be dried and shaken to restore softness after wet. The Windkiller has a rubber mount at the base of the windshield that snuggly fits the microphone shaft to keep the filter in place. Both long-haired and short-haired options with the ‘Standard Mount’ rubber base fit microphones with a diameter of 18-24mm, while extra-small and extra-large options are also available with the ‘Big Mount’ rubber base which fits microphones with a diameter of 23-26mm.

WINDKILLER SE

These special edition Windkillers have been designed for specific microphones. The soft fur is manufactured from multi-pile, high-density fur to allow audio transparency but also protection from ambient wind noise. An elastic band and press stud retains the Windkiller SE on the microphone, leaving a 'bubble of dead air' in front of the microphone capsule to retain a natural sound.

CUB

Bubblebee Cub is a premium fur windshield designed specifically for the Sanken CUB-01. It brings the same multi-pile fur technology from the larger Windkillers to compact mics that need serious wind protection without adding bulk. The dense, faux fur creates a dead air zone around the microphone's capsule, wind enters, loses its energy, and exits without causing noise. The captured audio stays clean while the compact profile keeps your camera rig streamlined.

SPACER BALL

A spherical windshield solution engineered for small condenser microphones and boom mics, for wind protection without compromising the natural character of the recording. Designed for use both indoors and outdoors, Spacer Ball affords a balance of audio transparency, stability and control. Developed using the same materials found in The Spacer Bubble, The Spacer Ball combines a noise-free mesh exterior, a 'carefully tuned' open-foam core and rubber base. Spacer Ball is a tool that can be employed for reducing wind noise or swooshing sounds caused by quick lateral movements such as boom swings.

The Spacer Ball is available in two sizes; 65mm for use with smaller compact condenser microphones on suspensions, such as the DPA 4018C, Schoeps Mikrofone CCM or CMC series or the Sennheiser MKH 8000 series of microphones; and 100mm for use with boom mics with a longer body or preamp, such as the DPA 4011, DPA 4015, DPA 4018A or 4018B, as well as the Sennheiser MKH 50.

Each Spacer Ball includes a long-haired fur cover, offering additional protection when windy conditions intensify, while maintaining frequency transparency via the multi-pile, high-density fibre construction.

SPACER BUBBLE

Available in seven different sizes, the Spacer Bubble has been designed to give protection from wind noise indoors or outdoors in light or low wind conditions. The windshield has a base material made from coarse foam and mesh which is attached to a rubber base. For medium wind conditions an optional ‘slip-on’ short-haired fur can quickly be attached. Standard colour is black.

Spacer Bubble is also available in red (PMS 2045), chroma blue (PMS 2828c), and chroma green (PMS 354c) - the latter particularly useful for those using the microphones against blue/green screen backgrounds or environments often popular in TV and movie production.
