DF1000

The DF1000 feedback suppressor is a dual-channel processor that automatically applies up to thirty-two filters per channel within two to four seconds in order to minimise any feedback in the audio chain and increase the system gain by up to 10dB. DF1000 functions in real time without any prior programming required, and uses 24-bit, 48kHz processing.

The front facing panel of the 1U processor features a backlit on/off power switch along with ‘Active’ and ‘Reset’ buttons. To employ the feedback suppression the user simply pushes the ‘Active’ button and the unit begins the process of scanning and setting up to 32 filters with narrow notch filters up to 1/30 octave. Pressing the button again bypasses the filters allowing the input signal to pass straight to output without processing. If the unit is powered off, a hard bypass allows the input signal to flow straight to the output stage unaltered. The reset button can be pressed if the user wishes to clear the filter memory. Confirmation of reset is via white LED flash during the process.

The rear facing panel of the DF1000 houses all in/out connectivity including a combination 6.35mm jack/3-pin XLR balanced input, a balanced 3-pin XLR output, and input/output on 3-pin Euroblock connectors on each channel. An IEC connection for 100-240 VAC, 50/60Hz power is positioned to the left side of the rear panel.

Input impedance: 20Kohm. Input level: +4dBu, normal; +21dBu, maximum. Output impedance: 50ohms. Output level: +4dBu, normal; +21dBu, maximum. Frequency response: 20Hz to 20kHz, +0/-0.5dB. Dynamic range: 104dB. Total harmonic distortion: less than 0.01 percent at 20Hz-20kHz, +4dBu. Crosstalk: less than -81dB. Noise: over 88dB, +4dBu input. CMRR: over 45dB. Filters: 32, channel independent. Filter width: 1/126 octave, minimum; 1/38 octave, maximum. Power consumption: 10W. Dimensions: 50 x 483 x 296 (HxWxD)mm. Weight: 2.9kg
