LUSEM OXLINX ACTIVE OPTICAL CABLES - HDMI 1.4, DVI - Deployable

The 'OxLinx' series of active, optical HDMI cables are intended for applications where a longer cable-run length is required than can be obtained with standard copper HDMI cables and are also useful where the cable needs to pass through environments with high electrical interference. They take power from the HDMI connection on the send and receive devices.

Designed for rental and stage use, applications can include professional AV systems interconnection and indoor and outdoor digital signage and kiosks as well as home theatre systems in larger buildings. To enable HDMI 1.4 the plug on HDMI type A adapters require external USB powering.

Cables are available in a range of lengths from 10 to 100 metres and all have a LSOH (low smoke zero halogen) cable jacket. They support 4K at 30Hz, 1080p at 60Hz full HD signals, multi-channel audio and are HDMI 1.4 compliant. Power consumption is 0.5W. For technical specification see the manufacturer data sheet.

LHM-PT Types

These are manufactured from 4.5mm TPU (thermo-plastic urethane) and are terminated with micro HDMI type D connectors and supplied with adapters to fit full-size, type A, HDMI connectors. Also known as the 'pluggable' versions, LHM-PT cables were developed to aid fixed installation; the micro HDMI connectors reducing the likelihood of snagging as the cable is pulled through conduit, fed through voids or behind plaster board. Other benefits may include applications where cables must pass through congested and/or small apertures, such as internally wired brackets and mounts. The cables are crush resistant to 500kg and have successfully passes the IEC 60794-1 E2A jacket abrasion test.

Included accessories: Custom, screw-locking, micro HDMI-D to HDMI-A adapters are supplied with LHM-PT pluggable cables.

Ordering notes:

(1) Lusem active HDMI cables require a typical operating voltage of 5V DC (Min. 4.8V - Max. 5.3V) at both source and display HDMI connector. HDMI compliant equipment will provide this via Pin.18. Where a connected device fails to provide sufficient operating voltage an external power inserter may be considered.
(2) Lusem LHM2-PT cables have a crush resistant jacket, up to 500kg, and are therefore suitable for deployable applications.
