DPA MICROPHONES - Handheld

DPA handheld microphones have designed live stage use or similar applications, where high-quality sound-reproduction is required. Each capsule is available as handheld microphone – with handle and 3-pin XLR output; or as a capsule combined with an adapter for use with popular wireless systems including a variety of Wisycom, Shure, Sony or Sennheiser wireless systems.

2028

This pre-polarised, condenser microphone has been designed to give ‘natural sound’ and due to its inherent supercardioid pickup pattern give ‘high separation’ from surrounding audio sources. A dynamic range of 117dB typical and maximum SPL before clipping of 160dB ensures the microphone is applicable for a number of types of live performance.

(74-1685) 2028-B-B01 has an incorporated handle with 3-pin XLR output. Requires +48V phantom power to function to optimum performance.

(74-1686) 2028-B-SL1 is fitted with the SL1 adapter which is compatible with selected Shure, Sony, and Lectrosonics wireless transmitters.

(74-1687) 2028-B-SE2 is fitted with the SE2-ew adapter which is compatible with Sennheiser 2000/6000/9000 series wireless transmitters, along with Evolution series and D1 series.

Frequency response: 20Hz -20kHz. Sensitivity (+/-3dB at 1kHz): 5mV/Pa, -46dB re 1V/Pa. Equivalent noise level: 22dB(A) typical. Dynamic range: 117dB. Maximum SPL: 160dB. Output impedance: 150ohms. Required power: +48V. Dimensions (LxD): 188 x 48mm, handheld. Weight: 286g.

D:Facto 4018V-B-B01, D:Facto 4018VL-B-B01

These microphones have super-cardioid pick-up to offer a 'high side and rear rejection' and an acceptance angle the same as a first-order cardioid at +/-60 degrees off centre.

There are two capsules available, 4018V and 4018VL. Each model is available in a handheld microphone, for use with cables, or combined with an adapter for use with popular wireless transmitter types. Because of the modular design, each microphone can be reconfigured as required by the engineer or event.

Capsule only adapter types

SL1 adapters are compatible with selected Shure, Sony, and Lectrosonics wireless transmitters.
WI2 adapters are compatible with selected Wisycom wireless transmitters.
SE2-ew adapters are compatible with Sennheiser 2000/6000/9000 series wireless transmitters, along with Evolution series and D1 series.

4018V Capsule

This version of the pre-polarised condenser capsule has a 'soft-boost' of 3dB at 12kHz, with a frequency range of 100Hz - 16kHz, +/-2dB at a distance of 120mm, sensitivity of 5mV/Pa, -46dB referred to 1V/Pa. It has a dynamic range of 120dB, typical, and a maximum sound level of 160dB SPL before clipping. For optimum performance the microphone should be provided with +48V phantom power, +/-4V.

Frequency response: 20Hz -20kHz. Sensitivity (+/-3dB at 1kHz): 5mV/Pa, -46dB re 1V/Pa. Equivalent noise level: 19dB(A) typical. Dynamic range: 120dB. Maximum SPL: 160dB. Output impedance: 100ohms. Required power: +48V. Dimensions (LxD): 205 x 52mm, handheld. Weight: 309g.

4018VL Capsule

The 4018VL capsule has all of the acoustic and physical properties of the 4018V capsule, however in place of the high-end 'softboost' the 4018VL has a linear response - designed for those engineers who wish to colour the microphone to their own preference without any pre-formatted frequency curves.

Frequency response: 20Hz -20kHz. Sensitivity (+/-3dB at 1kHz): 5mV/Pa, -46dB re 1V/Pa. Equivalent noise level: 19dB(A) typical. Dynamic range: 120dB. Maximum SPL: 160dB. Output impedance: 100ohms. Required power: +48V. Dimensions (LxD): 505 x 52mm, handheld. Weight: 309g.
