4041-SP - Omnidirectional
DAP 4041-SP is a large diaphragm condenser microphone capsule with an omnidirectional pickup pattern. The diaphragm of the capsule, and housing are both made from stainless steel, resulting in immunity against ambient temperature variations. A quartz insulator houses the back plate for maximum electrical stability, whilst the mic can be used with 48V solid state phantom power.
A frequency response from 10Hz to 20kHz and a soft boost of 4-6 dB around 8 kHz affords the engineer a smooth, clear response when recording vocals. A low self-noise of 8dB(A), combined with a handling capability of up to 134dB SPL gives headroom for the most demanding of acoustic audio collection before clipping occurs.
The MMC4041 Large Diaphragm Microphone Capsule can be unscrewed from the MMP4000-SP preamplifier, which allows you to exchange the preamp.
